Laser Hair Removal
We offer permanent body hair reduction that is virtually painless. The Pain-Free, Hair-Free™ laser hair removal treatment offered by Skin 360 Medical Aesthetics, can eliminate daily shaving, tweezing and painful waxing to give you silky smooth and beautifully bare skin.
- Is it safe?: We use the patented Pain-Free, Hair-Free™ Soprano®XL laser. It was approved by the FDA in 2005 and has provided permanent hair reduction for patients safely and successfully ever since. The Soprano®XL laser does not carry the risk of hyper or hypo pigmentation as do other hair removal laser systems. Thus you can continue your laser hair removal treatments during summer months. Whether you're a man or woman, young or old, your treatment will be safe, gentle and effective.
- How long does it take?: After each treatment, you will see a noticeable, permanent reduction in the number of hairs that regrow in the treatment area. Treatments are scheduled approximately 4-8 weeks apart. Typically, it will require 4 - 6 treatments to permanently reduce the number of regrowing hairs. Multiple sessions ensures that all hairs are subjected to the laser treatment. You may shave in between treatments. However, waxing and plucking are discouraged.
- What happens during a treatment?: You will be given eye protection similar to goggles worn when using a tanning bed. These goggles protect your eyes from accidental exposure to the laser. A clear gel is then applied to the treatment area, similar to gel used during an ultra sound treatment. The laser operator will then rub the laser instrument around the treatment area for several minutes. When the treatment is complete, the clear gel is wiped away. Skin may be a little pink or sensative immediately after treatment. There is no "down-time" or recovery time. You can have a treatment and go back to your normal daily routine.
- Will I feel anything?: Most patients experience a comfortable warming sensation during treatment, similar to receiving a hot stone massage. For very sensitive skin, a mild topical anesthetic or applied prior to treatment can eliminate any discomfort.
- Will my hair ever grow back?: No, your hair will not grow back. The Soprano®XL laser uses light to damage hair follicles. Once damaged, hair follicles can no longer grow hair. However, not all hair follicles are damaged in one treatment. It will require multiple treatments to permanently reduce hair growth in the treatment area.
